no sound with video files

I use gbpvr as a video jukebox. For no apparent reason, I have lost the abilty to here sound with video files. I am still able to listen to audio files(mp3s). Any ideas on what may have caused this? Since i was running an older version of gbpvr, I did update it, that did not solve the issue.

When you're watching a video, can you try holding down the right arrow key?

that fixed it. I kind of thought is was to do with a key control, but could not seem to find it. I appreciate your help.
