Crazy. Just removed the Dual Core Optimizer, restarted. Gave GB-PVR access to BOTH cores. Nothing..., really nothing helps! I am logged in as admin (like everytime).
This problem is since the upgrade to this version of GB-PVR. comskip never worked there. But i saw it first a few days ago. What could this be?

Again i got this as errormessage and don't know why... Undecided

28.07.2006 02:10:05.437 INFO [12] Running comskip on: E:\Recording\TV\Tagesschau\Tagesschau_20060728_02000205.mpg

bei GBPVR.RecordingService.xe4ed339fb9a3b996.xcba1f05fb5a46d5f()

Mhm..., sut seems to have the same problems. Like he wrote me too tried to move a recording manuell over comskip.exe (i didn't knew till now, that this works). It works... o.O comskip.exe processes my recording. Why it's not working within gb-pvr... that is the big question ^^; Of course it's all enabled within config... Undecided

The first line ^^ It's more than a placebo effect. If C'n'Q is activated on your X2 than THIS is for you. If your CPU runs fullspeed all the time, then you don't need it.

Ok, thanks. I don't think cool and quiet is activated, as I never did anything to put it in effect and this is a homebuilt pc. Good info.

Why not use C'n'Q? It's the Main Reason for an AMD64 CPU. It reduces it's power consumption if it's not needed. Good for Workstation, HTPC and normal PC ^^
Lesser Power Consumption -> Lesser Heat -> Lesser Noise (CPU Cooler). You CAN use C'n'Q for FREE.. USE it ^^

@ Topic

Sub..., i am sure that the IE 7 BETA 3 is responsible for this error. Other users with this has problems too. I will downgrade to BETA 2.

STOP not so fast ^^

1. Install the X2 CPU Driver
http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_...psetup.exe

2. Restart

3. Install the DualCore Optimizer
http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_.../Setup.exe

4. Restart

5. Change the Power Management of Windows !!! Change it to Low Batterie mode, or Minimum Energy (I don't know the right english description).

After this it should work ^^ Your CPU know then 3 Speed Steppings. 1.0GHz, 1.8 GHz and 2.2 GHz ^^

I see other non GB-PVR people are reporting this problem. It sound like the IE7 is changing the permissions of the local system account such that it no longer has the permissions to start processes.
