Hello,

After a new install of Windows XP (SP1), Net 2.0, WMP 10, GBPVR 97.13 on a freshly formatted hard drive, I installed the latest version of Videoarchive 3.0 from the Wiki (7/28/06). and was unable to access any of my networked drives. My system setup is located below in my sig.

Oddly, the same hardware running Net 1.1, GBPVR 96.12 and Videoarchive 2.5 was able to access recordings on networked drives without any difficulties.

Tried the usual recommendations after searching these forums without any success:
Check NIC/Cable connections
Set GBPVR recording services to logon as admin rather than local.
Disabled all firewalls
Entered all Network paths in the Video Archive Plugin Config
Hit F11 to rescan directories
Used MS Access database
Used SQLite database

I have attached the GBPVR and Jeff Folder Logs. Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.

Regards,

-Ray

It looks like the plug-in is having trouble opening the C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\video archive.mdb file. Can you zip up and post that file along with your config.xml file?

Thanks

Hello Jeff,

Thanks again for all your help.Smile Here is a link to the files you requested. As the files are larger than the forums attachment filesize limits, I've opted to use the Avvenu service to host the files:

https://share.avvenu.com/service/126274/...4a891c21b6

If this link does not work, please PM me your email address or email me your email address at rayxyz52@yahoo.com and I'll send you the direct link to the files.

Thanks again in advance.
Regards,

Ray

I looked the database and there are 4 files that are on a network drive that were found so something worked. One odd thing I noticed was that you only have detsailed information for two of your rescordings. When the database was automatically upgraded it should have preserved everything that was already in there.

Can you delete all the *.log files from your jeff subdirectory and then run GBPVR again. Go into the video archive plug-in and press F11 (GO) to force it to rescan for files. When the hour glass stops going back and forth (which means it is done), can you zip up all the logs and the database and post them again so I can see what happened?

Thanks

Jeff

Hello again Jeff,

Thanks again for all your efforts Smile I followed your directions: deleted the old log files and forced a rescan of files.

I have uploaded the requested files to the following link:

https://share.avvenu.com/service/128635/...e6e80499cc

I have two observations:

1) In contrast to previous attempts, some, though not all, network files appeared Smile

2) The “What’s New” folder (enabled in the VA plugin config to contain files created within the last two weeks) appears briefly, though, disappears when scrolled over. This occurs despite recently created files (less than 2 weeks old) being present in “All Recordings.”

Thank you once again for your help…

Regards,
Ray
