I surely do see the OSD (if by OSD you mean the show description & timeline bar) and *thought* I installed all the same codecs as the first time around. I find the WinDVD codecs to be somewhat wonky (encounter strange hi-speed video sometimes after FF/REW) but have to use them for now since the doggone F7 isn't working with the cyber codecs.

Is it just me, or is the importance of MPEG decoding software rather understated in all of this. I built my PVR from scratch and initially had NO codecs installed and couldn't see video playback. I later found out (thanks to sub's helpful replies) that codecs are often installed with your capture card's player, but my PVR500MCE came only with a driver disc (OEM from NewEgg) and I don't have a player to install.

Zip and attach your logs of it not working with the Cyberlink decoder and I'll take a look.

Sub, you're such a stud. I'll do that when I'm at home. A donation is coming to support GBPVR in the near future.

Edit: Saved you work. I went & downloaded the K-Lite codec pack 2.74 with the newer cyberlink codec, applied the reg tweak, and I'm gellin' like Magellan!

From memory those are default settings automatically added into the registry when an application uses the Cyberlink decoder. Not sure what they do.
[SIZE="1"]AMD Athlon X2 4200+ CPU, Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 mobo, 2GB RAM, 1TB SATA HDD, DigitalNow Dual Hybrid PCIE S2 and Hauppauge HVR2200 capture, ATI HD4670 video with HDMI-HDMI to 32" LCD TV at 1360x768, Win7 Home Premium 64bit, GBPVR 1.4.7, EVR renderer[/SIZE]

Thanks for your reply, csy. Those values were not put into the registry automatically for me (in fact, a search shows no evidence of either key anywhere). I tried adding them manually, and my CPU utilization went up a bit, so I deleted them. I was just wondering what I was losing by not having them there.

This thread is a little old now, is this info still correct? Presumably with the new versions of GBPVR, the registry key should be:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\CLVSD\PVRX2

Would this be right?

Correct. Those settings will only affect gbpvr.exe and not pvrx2.exe. For pvrx2.exe you will need to change the registry to:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\CLVSD\PVRx2]

and

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\CLVSD\PVRx2]
I documented some of this in another thread somewhere. I didn't know there was a thread dealing with it.
