Hi everyone,

Well I have never had this issue before and I do not know what started it. I set up gbpvr on a new windows install and everything was fine for a few days, and then I lost audio in gbpvr. Not in all programs, just gbpvr. I found a way to get sound back, but to do it I have to open the windows volume controller and set the Wave volume to 100%. I have to do this every time I open a new file in gbpvr. I tried uninstalling and deleting the program folder, but that did not solve it. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I have the same problem and I just open the volume control panel and click the wave slider and the sound starts. In live TV, the sound stays normal until I close GBPVR.

In video playback mode, it needs to be reset using the wave volume control click for each video file.

I tried the right arrow workaround, but it does not bring the sound back. For now, I'm stuck with having to bring up the volume control panel each time I start LiveTV or a new video file.

I looked for a back release of GBPVR to try. I was quite happy with 9612 using a PVR150 on my other PC. However, this PC is a Dell Laptop; so, I'm using a WinTV-PVR-USB2 MCE edition.

I'm considering going back to DotNet V1.1 and GBPVR 9612. Is that a good idea?

I'm just looking for a way to get a working release with basic operation.

I had GBPVR running on the first try and even recorded a show successfully. Then, I decided to do a Windows update which added a couple of security fixes and the IE v7, the big one! There may have been something in there that changed the environment.

That's another consideration. I have a full backup prior to starting the PVR-USB2 install. It would have been simpler using checkpoint restore, but the major IE v7 upgrade removed all my previous checkpoints. So, I'll restore the complete system if need be.

I'll be glad to provide log files if you wish.

Thanks.

Did you try setting the volume to 'Local Volume' in the config app?
