Recording/playback issue

I attempted to record a TV programme today using an MSI MegaSky 580. However, when I attempt to play back the resulting dvr-ms file, it plays without sound, and at twice the usual playback speed. I've checked the MPEG2 codec, and it's not that. I've tried it on different media players on different PCs, and it's not that either. I've just spent the past two hours googling for any similar issues, but I can't find any.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, but I'm not sure that's it. I made a single test recording last night, and that worked perfectly afterwards. It's bizarre, to say the least.

What I really want to know is if there's a way to fix the recording that I currently have?
