Any tips on using USBUIRT?

I'd try again, but instead of holding down the button as requested try just pressing them normally. As other posters have said, ensure there are no extraneous IR signals about at the time.

Got it!!!

Must have been some IR coming from my cable box or something. I turned everything off and got the remote close to the USBUIRT and it all worked fine. I also shutdown and rebooted my computer.
