Do you fare better with either the Cyberlink mux or ATI mux?

I've been having the same problem with ATSC recordings - and I have the same experience if I watch the destination folder. Either a big file is there straight away (which I find odd in itself) or I get a 6k filename,dvr-ms and then a filename-1.dvr-ms which is again a 6k file - see the attached screenshot.

I spent a while fighting this with the previous release and neither of the two patches you previously posted worked, so I've been waiting for the next release with much anticipation hoping the problem would go away.

Let me know what info I can provide to help track this down. My HD card is an Aver A180.

Go into the config file and look for something like BDA Tuning Request, something to the effect of it requesting tuning twice. Change it to false. That worked with my FusionHDTV in versions >0.96 and I had the 6KB bug.

Sorry, I'm on my laptop right now or I'd look it up in the config file.

Thanks for the suggestion - however it is already set to false. I'm assuming the line you are referring to is:

<BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnRecord>false</BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnRecord>

I cleared out all my logs and then set up a scheduled recording. Logs and grfs are attached. One thing I find odd is that in the RecordingService log the first reference to the recording filename is a .mpg extension

18:59:00.234 INFO BDARecorder:::StartRecording(AVerMedia A180, 1, C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\My Videos\GBPVR\ABCs World News With Charles Gibson\ABCs World News With Charles Gibson_20060914_19001930.mpg, T:39,2,1)

but subsequently it's a .dvr-ms

18:59:00.453 VERBOSE Target DVR-MS filename: C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\My Videos\GBPVR\ABCs World News With Charles Gibson\ABCs World News With Charles Gibson_20060914_19001930.dvr-ms

Not sure what the relevance of this is.

I'm able to give you remote access to my GBPVR box via GoToMeeting by setting up a meeting and then giving you KVM control - my GBPVR box is use for nothing else and I have no problem letting you do whatever you want.

I think this is a killer app - I've been progressively getting everything working, including SPDIF output so I could have a really neat HD (and SD) PVR. I'll do whatever I can to help you with ATSC support.

I can set up the GTM session right now if you want.

I dont know anything about GoToMeeting, but if I dont have to install anything, or create an account, then it sounds good to me.
