I have spent the past few days getting GBPVR to work. There have been a few trials along the way but I am thrilled with the program, thank you.

I am trying to use the GBPVR dongle.bin on my MVP. It displays the menu and tv guide fine. It is when I attempt to play a recording or live tv that the TV screen goes blank and the MVP seems to stop responding.

My setup is:
Windows XP Pro, 1 gig ram, Athlon XP 2400, WinTV PVR 150 and WinTV PVR 150 MCE. The MediaMVP is hard wired to a Linksys wireless router that the Windows box is connected to as well.

Any help in getting this working would be greatly appreciated. Once I get this working it is on to comskip/comclean.

For that matter, if I run comskip on a file, will the commercials be skipped when using the MVP to play them back (if using GBPVR on the MVP)?

I don't know where to find the versions of the software mentioned in other threads. It doesn't appear to match up to the file version information. In the config program the version is 0.98.8b. I am guessing that is the version referred to in the forums.

Thank you

Is the windowsbox hard wired to the router as well?
One answer: After running comskip on a file, commercials will be skipped on the mvp as well.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Yes, both the MVP and the GBPVR box are connected to the router by ethernet line.

You might try unplugging the MVP for a minute then plug it back in and let it reload everything.

Yes it will work on the MVP too.

You have the latest and greatest software.

I unplugged the MVP and still no go.

I am looking at the logs and there appears to be a loop that is repeating

Here is a portion of the log

I will post more if needed but this portion is repeated many times. I can easily start and stop this to gain information. I don't know how to address this loop and I suspect this is at least part of the problem.

Can you post a log that shows an attempt to play a recording? This one doesnt. It just shows a couple of second of the process starting. It does talk to any MVPs etc.

You've stop both of the Hauppauge MVP services right?
