Have succesfully got web app running using default port no of 7674 (looks brilliant BTW) however work blocks outgoing on this port so i am trying to set up on port 80.

After editing gbpvr\config.xml to use port 80 and restarting i couldnt connect.

Not sure if i need to be using IIS, so also have created a virt directory in IIS pointing at web folder in gbpvr, but i still cant connect.

I have a feeling there is something else i need to change because after doing this i can still connect on port 7674.

any ideas on what else needs changing

thanks

Is port 80 already in use (by IIS)? I've just used the config app to set the port number to 80, and it works fine for me.

Alternatively, you should be able to create a new virtual directory in IIS that points to c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web. Simply doing this should look like its working, but it will be in read-only mode. To change this, you need to modify the directory permissions to give full access to the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr for the ASP.NET IIS user account. This is because it needs to change the GBPVR.MDB file and needs to be able to create GBPVR.LDB (a temporary lock file).

If you restarted the GBPVR Service then that should have changed the port because I use  port 8095 and it worked the first time I changed it in the config.xml and restart the service. I am using the internal web server of GBPVR and once I opened the port in my router it worked fine from work.

I guess some questions are does GBPVR revert back to 7674 if port 80 is in use?
And does the new port 80 show up in the Config program since you changed it?
