Has anyone had any luck getting the remote control that comes with the Kworld 110 to work with GBPVR?

Thanks for your help.

What type of remote control receiver does it come with?
Does it plug into the card or a USB port?

I'm not sure what type of remote it is. I can check on that later today. It plugs directly in to the Kworld 110 card. It is not usb.

the remote does work with the version of beyond tv that comes with the card.

Thanks for your help.

Try this,
With the remote plugged in open up note pad & make sure the window is active & press the buttons on the remote.

If it puts characters on the screen when you press buttons then you should be able to use it with some third party software.

I do not have the card myself though.

That doesn't seem to work.

Do you have any suggestions for a good usb based 3rd party remote that will work with gbpvr and the kworld 110? I saw a snapstream firefly for $50 at Fry's today, but I did not purchase it.

The windows MCE remote works fine with GBPVR.
It's receiver plugs into the USB port.

The tuner card isn't really an issue when it comes to choosing a remote.
You just need to control GBPVR.

Don't know about the firefly.
You might want to search for it on the forums to see what other's said.

As far as I know, you need a plug-in with Girder or HIP or some other remote control app to recognize a receiver / remote built into the card.

Maybe other's with more experiance in this matter will pipe in.

Thanks for your help and advice.

I just borrowed an hp mce remote, and it worked fine on our xp home with gbpvr.

I'll try to snag one on ebay or craigslist.

Thanks again.
