I recently purchased the Hauppage PVR-950 USB Tuner stick and have realized it's not really for me. I had installed the WinTV Software that came with it along with GB-PVR. I have since uninstalled both utilites using "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows XP Second Edition and removed the PVR-950 USB item in Device Manager before I unplugged it. Yet I still have this very annoying "BDA TV Monitor" that still loads in my system tray. I have tried several methods to find where it is loading and remove it, but have had zero success. It is not in start/programs/startup and it is no where to be found when I run msconfig.

Does anyone know how I can turn it off permanently? I have searched with both Google and Yahoo and "BDA TV Monitor" does not exist. I also searched these forums for it and could not find any mention of it either. The icon itself has one option when you right-click it -- "Exit." No settings, preferences, "about," or anything.

It's driving me crazy. Please help.

Thanks in advance!

if it's a hauppauge app you need to run hcwclear.exe. I'll be on the Hauppauge CD, or you can download it from their website http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/...wclear.exe . It will clean your system of ALL HP software etc.

If it's not a HP app then check start->programs->startup to see if its set to run from there, and delete it, or download the rather good startup control panel from here http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml which allows you to control what windows does and doesn't launch on startup
