Remote not working during Live TV

Hi all,

I have the Hauppauge 45 button remote set up in GB PVR and Hip, and it works fine, until I go to Live TV. Then none of the buttons work (despite still being recieved by the IR Reciever). Only thing that fixes it seems to be a restart of windows. I'm running GB-PVR 98.13b and Hip v3.0.1.11. Thanks in advance for the help!

If you're using the Cyberlink decoder with VMR9, this could be because the decoder is not compatible with VMR until you add some Cyberlink registry settings. It can result in the keyboard/remote not working.

Thanks for the reply! No unfortunately, I'm not using the Cyberlink decoders. I'm using the Nvidia decoders. The keyboard still works fine.

Update: If I restart the recording service, the remote works once again, but still won't work during live tv (or recorded shows)

Hello. I also have the same problem. I have installed HIP to use my MCE remote and it works flawlessly except when I go to watch LIVE TV. As soon as I do that, it will stop working unless I exit GBPVR and restart, then everything is fine again as long as I don't enter Live TV.

The keyboard functions continue to work however.

It's like HIP loses "connection" to GBPVR when you enter Live TV.

Would love some help.
