Hi all...

Turning a friend on to gb-pvr, and he wants to run a second monitor and launch gbpvr on that monitor....

I know that the software has the option to "launch on second display," but will this work using one agp card that has multi monitor support?? What I had in mind was an nvidia chipset dual output mid range card...

Any suggestions and or comments are greatly appreciated...

SUB???

Thanks, Bossman

BTW buying a pvr150 for him

Sorry, misread your post, I though you were asking about dual video cards (rather than one card with multi-monitor support).

You should be fine with the "launch on second monitor" option, but you need to be aware that running on second monitors often comes with limitations like hardware accelleration disabled. You'll have to really try it and see.

my video card considers the TV out as the 2nd monitor.
I have GBPVR run on it with no problems.

I am using a Radeon 9250 that supports a second monitor. If only the TV is plugged in (S-Video), everything shows up on the TV. If I plug a monitor in the standard monitor port, I have the windows desktop on the monitor and GBPVR running on the TV. If I close GBPVR on the second monitor, the desktop extends to the TV as well. Very nice feature.
