These days most cable boxes are bidirectional too, allowing On Demand and PPV functionality, and remote firmware updates, etc. Amps and splitters need to be two-way with a cable box also.
It depends.. in the way my house was done.. theres sooooo many splitters its not even funny. I moved my computer into this old room... and yah the signal isnt nearly as good. Is fuzzy.
Ive tried moving / changing wires.. nothing.
But on the good note. Adding another splitter to it didnt change that crappy quality.
