I deleted a batch of recordings from the hard disk in Windows explorer, but they are still in the data base. Is there any danger in just deleting them from the data base with access.

My problem is that I think I have too many of the same series (28 of them) The latest ones are actually recorded, but are marked in gbpvr as failed, even though they are actually there on the hard disk, and log says they completed normally. I am assuming that this is some sort of database limit

You don;t need to delete them from the database manually. When you start gbpvr, it will detect that the recordings are missing and delete them from the database automatically (default behaviour).

I saw this problem you describe (recordings appeared as failed but actually there) in another thread a short while ago (try searching forum for "failed"). I would do a search myself but we're about the close the office early.

You might need to check you have <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> in config.xml. I think one of the recent builds didnt have this set by default.
