"Auto convert" profile configuration - help req'd

The defauilt divx conversion profile gives small files but awful pixelation, so I want to try some different options. Is there a guide on the cmd line params used in config.xml, or does anyone have a set of profilers they would like to share that would give better quality but perhaps only get about 1GB per hour instead of the 2.6GB per hour that standard hi quality takes.

The DIVX or XVID profiles take about 0.25 GB per hour, but this is too pixelated.

Does anyone have a profile they could share or advise me on using the config.xml settings.

I could use trial and error but life is too short!
