Stopping GBPVRRecordingService.exe hangs on GBPVR.exe

I've been experiencing a new problem with the v0.99.5 release. If i try to manually stop the GB-PVR Recording Service, it will not completed unless i kill the GBPVR.exe process. I've tailed the gbpvr.exe.log, GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log simultaneously and nothing is written to any of them while things are hung up. Any tips? This is not a real "problem" per say... it only comes into play if i need to stop the service in order to install an update to the EWA.

This isnt new. Some people (jksmurf?) have reported this for several releases. I'm not sure what exactly causes it, or why it only affects a small number of people. It is something to do with EWA though, since disabling it seems to correct the problem for those that have it.
