Hi all,
Just got my TV tuner in tonight, a Dell Angel USB, to replace my old Happauge WinTV that died after 5+ years of service...
Did a lot of researching on PVR software, and gbpvr looks like it's by far the best! Only one bug I've been running into so far, and very reproducible.
If I view the TV, then <esc> out and go into the TV Guide and choose a show, then select watch, the infamous Protected Memory Error pops up and I have to restart before I can watch TV again. If I just go into Live TV from the start it stays happy.
I looked at the survival guide and installed the hotfix, to no avail. I am not running any of the programs that are referenced as causing problems. I use AVG for virus and ZoneAlarm Free for firewall, but shutting those down did not prevent the problem.
Log:
Thank you!
