Hey all, I imagine there is a way to do this, but I'm still a GB PVR N00b. I've got my PVR computer and my regular computer networked and both of them share an internet connection, I'm just wondering is there a way I can set a recording on the DVR Computer from my regular computer? I noticed in the config there's something about setting it up as a client or a server or something but I don't know how to use it.

Hi,

do you mean you want to schedule recording etc from the second machine ?

In which case try using Ehanced Web Admin which provdes a web browser interface onto GBPVR.

The Web Admin interface is the easiest way if you want to just schedule recordings.

The client/server setup requires setting up GB-PVR to share it's resources on the network through the config app. Then you have to install GB-PVR on the second PC and get it to talk to the DVR PC. It's been a while since I tried this setup, but I believe you still need to edit the config.xml as described in the wiki document under "How to proceed" on your "regular computer." The wiki document is slightly outdated; the server setup is now integrated into GB-PVRs config app.

Ah ok, yeah all I was looking for was simple recording adding/subtracting/etc. So the web admin looks to be the best bet.

Thanks for the help. Big Grin
