Yeah, I dont think any software will allow you to use it - unless they produce some sort of SDK and you can program something to send keystrokes.
I guess Hauppage owners are lucky in that Sub uses it, so he made anative support for that cards remote interface (I assume the Hauppage remote recvr plugs direct into the card too?)
You will have to have some sort of external receiver and software. The IR diode the card came with can be made into one of those winlirc devices, witha couple of extra parts - the ir receiver is the most expensive part required.
