Watch while burning or recording?

Okay, I believe you can watch live tv while another channel is recording if you have dual tuners (dual built-in or two tuner cards?) but what about when you're burning a dvd? If you are using (outside) software to convert avi or mpg files into ifos/vobs (basically, into DVD format), can you still watch live tv without problems or choppiness if the computer is powerful enough? How powerful does the computer have to be? I was just curious about this although it's not a major deal but it would be nice to know.

Yes, you can do this. How powerful does you PC need to be - I dont know, it probably varies quite a bit depending on the source files, software your using etc.

I quite regularly burn DVDs while watching tv, and havnt noticed any problems. My machine is a dual core AMD machine. You might not fare aswell with a single core processor.
