When it works its the dogs. Only odd versions cause wmplayer and gbpvr to run without sound when playing video and then crash, hogging all the processor. Stupidly this morning I installed a new version over my working old version and the same bug has reappeared even if I reinstall the previously working old one...

Meanwhile VLC can still play video no probs. Anyone else come across this or know I way I can get them all to play nicely together?

The only way to fix it is to uninstall super and restart the machine...?

I'm guessing its installed some broken decoder, affecting Directshow apps like WMP and GB-PVR. VLC isnt affected because it doesnt use Directshow decoders.

If you play the file to cause the crash, then post your gbpvr.exe-native.log, then I'll see if I cant identify which decoder is causing the problem.

Hi Sub, sorry it took so long to get back - I didn't want to screw up my system intentionally in a hurry!!!

Its using a Cyberlink decoder which is not compatible with VMR, so falling back to Overlay and confusing itself. Either try a different decoder, or switch to Overlay, or try enabling VMR9 support in the decoder (google Cyberlink EnableVMR9 - there can be different registry setting locations depending on where your Cyberlink decoder came from).

VMR is the Video Mixing Renderer, which you current have selected in as your video renderer on the playback tab of the config app. Its basically the thing that draws each frame of video onto your screen.
