I recently started using GBPVR, and one of the functions that drew my attention was the ability to browse YouTube and download flash files as mpegs in real time. How is this accomplished??? How can I emulate this behavior if I stumble upon other websites besides YouTube? I've done a few searches and found that there are tools that will convert swf files to mpegs. But extracting swf files itself appears to at times be tricky. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I use a Firefox extension called Videodownloader which will extract the url and save the file, then run it through super http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html and voila, MPEG...

Hope this helps!

Also, if you just want to convert the occasional file, try http://www.zamzar.com

I haven't used it myself, but it seems to get good reviews...
