I recently replaced my hard drive and installed GBPVR 99.12 fresh. Problem is I can't see the recorded shows in the "Recordings" screen of GBPVR but I can find them by going to Video Library. I can't seem to find a setting in Config to fix it. Any ideas?

If you did a fresh install of GB-PVR, then chances are you've started with a nice fresh database - blowing away your old database which contained your recordings.

The options for getting those recordings back are:
1) restore gbpvr.db3 from backup
2) use the config app's "import recordings" feature to import a recordings-dump.xml file containing the list of your recordings (if you've still got this file).

I did save my gbpvr.db3 and loaded it after install. I have since recorded multiple new shows that are not showing in the "Recordings" screen. Something interesting though, the gbpvr.db3 is showing a MS Excel icon. I'm not sure how .db3 files would have gotten associated with Excel. Would this cause the problem?

Was the backed up gbpvr.db3 file from a v0.99.12 release, or some other version?

It was from an earlier version, 98.xx (can't remember the exact version). Would this cause that problem?

a 98.xx file can only be restored onto a 98.xx release or you'll end up with a broken database, with unexpected results - probably exactly like those you're reporting.

Thanks. I swapped out the file for the one with the 99.12 release and all is good again. Appreciate the feedback.
