I think this happens because these shows already scheduled before the changes take place and have locked into preset tuner. The PreferAlternateTuner probably takes affect the next refresh of schedule, or to be sure I probably cancel the current reoccuring recording and reschedule a new one.

I have set pre padding to 3 minutes and post padding to 10 minutes.
I have two PVR500s, therefore 4 TV tuners.
Tonight I recorded the following....
"Psych" on prime from 7:30 t0 8:30. It turned out 62:58 in length. Pre padding only.
"Grey's Anatomy" on TV2 from 8:30 to 9:30. It turned out 59:58 in length. No padding.
"Inside New Zealand" on TV3 from 8:30 to 9:30. It turned out 72:58 in length. (The only one with the correct padding)
"20/20" on TV2 from 9:30 to 10:30. It turned out 69:58 in length. Post padding only.

Excellent, that is looking promising. I scheduled two new programs today, back to back, which both worked 100%. I’ll go through now and delete all my scheduled recordings and reschedule them.

Thanks for your help Dan. Big Grin

Thanks, I tried deleting my scheduled recordings and setting them up again, will see how that goes.

I will change the video decoders also and see how that goes, I will report back.

Thanks again.

Yes that all worked fine all shows were complete with all the padding as expected. yay!

The other issue of not being able to ff or rw sometimes from a recording is still occurring quite often, I have tried changing the video decoders and still no luck. I will keep trying things and see what happens.

Thanks.

Scott.
