I'm changing to GBPVR from Sage TV.
I've got a couple questions that I'm hoping are easy.

1) How can I get GB to start up in full screen mode when Windows boots?
2) My Hauppage Remote, while it IS controlling GB fine, it's not powering down GB(or on) when I hit the green button.
3) When recording the "season" of a show, how can I make sure that it's not recording reruns? It seems like there's no "first run" specification. For shows like "The Shield" that are in syndication as well as first run, it makes it difficult.
4) DVD Player doesn't appear to recognize that there's a valid DVD in the drive. How can I fix this?
5) Any way to stream the YouTube videos rather than download them?

1) In config select the "Fullscreen" option. I think its on the first tab. Also, copy the shortcut from the GBPVR folder into the Start>All Programs>Startup folder.
2) i dont know
3) GBPVR doesn't necessarily know which are reruns. Since you're in the US and probably using zap2it there are plugins out there that make what you want happen. I just have mine set not to get ones it already has.
4) Install a DVD playing program. You're probably missing an mpeg II codec.

GB-PVR is not really designed as a US app, so given this info is usually not available, it doesnt present these sorts of options in the user interface (ie, I dont want to sent things in the app that wont work for me).

Its not really the same thing, but you can make sure you have the 'dont record duplicates' setting enabled in the config app, and it'll use your recordings and recording history to make sure it doesnt re-record shows.

Do you have it set for the correct DVD drive?

No, not currently. Its a reasonable recent addition though, and will improve in future releases.
