*On a side note, I started a thread similar to this a while back, but I could not locate it*

I have a HVR1600 with the dual tuners. One tuner is setup using the cable line, and I have it configured with Zap2it and GBPVR. Everything seems to work fine...

I also have my other tuner connected to the HD antenna, and I have installed the second tuner (on the same card) as a different "tuner" in gbpvr.

I then mapped the digital channels. That worked fine.

I only get in about 5 hd channels, and when the EPG updates, it brings in listings for like 45 channels... so I unchecked the box saying "enabled" and I figured that would do it...

But it didnt. When I updated the EPG, those channels are "enabled" again, and take up tons of space on my on screen guide, for channels that I do not even haveSad

I am sure I am setting something up wrong, or have missed something... can someone help?

Are you sure you used the 'enabled' checkbox, not the remove button? The 'remove' would recreate and reenable those channels with the next EPG update. Unchecking the 'enabled' checkbox should stick. If you're sure, then reproduce the problem (uncheck, ok out of config app, start config app, confirm they're still unchecked, do EPG update, confirm they're now enabled) then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

All the config.exe.* ones. Make sure you do those exact steps I mention.

I did those steps, and they actually stayed disabled! For the last 2 days I was going crazy thinking it didnt work, maybe I actually wasnt "OK'ing" all the way out of config, and the changes werent sticking...

Thanks again sub

Great. I suspected that would be the case.

Assuming that you are using zap2it (for now at least Sad ) it would actually be better to uncheck them from the zap web site - that way you don't download them at all and save the bandwidth/CPU cycles processing 2 weeks worth of channels that you don't even want.

Yes I actually did this and I created a second account for the OTA tuner, making the job much more simple. So now they each have seperate epg updates filled with different lineups. Works great!
