Would you be able to record from both dvb-t and dvb-s at the same time

We wont receive any DVB-T transmissions here in Wellington until early next year, so its not something I've tested.

(I dont have an HVR3000, but a HVR4000 which is similar)

2.what is s2 ? Edit answer cause im dumb and dont read High definition
3.will we need it ? will we be getting it anytime soon you think?

I dont DVB-S2 is going to be used in our part of the world anytime soon, so the HVR3000 is probably a better choice.

yeah build from scratch and get a nice looking case that can go in the lounge
doesnt cost anymore and you get what you want
promax computers is on trade me aswell as a web site they have a few nice cases
make sure he has at least 2 phyical hard drives aswell you wont get that with a package deal


is its main job a computer or for gbpvr?

This machine is both but it will feed the TV via a cabled MVP. Basically, this one replaces a low horsepower one already in service.

i looked at the mvp thing and decided against it and use a client pc instead
maybe the low horsepower pc could still be used
both have advantages

Yes, swings and roundabouts. But there certainly is a cost/maintenance advantage to the MVP. There's no way my friend or I want a crappy old noisy mid tower PC under/beside/ behind the TV. Nah, we are OK with the MVP at this stage.
