I suspect you video card is possibly marginal for the Direct3D/VMR requirements of this renderer.

Not sure I like the sound of this. As I recall when I tried using VMR9 Custom last time (when troubleshooting the screen corruption issue) I ended up with bad ghosting/glitching in playback of HD MPEG2-TS files. I also have/use Nvidia PureVideo. If the default is always to use VMR9 Custom, then I can't upgrade. Regular VMR9 (not Custom) works perfectly on 99.12 (except for the odd file that has the screen corruption issue). This won't have anything to do with the video card performance in my case.

Sorry, it'll always be VMR9 Custom/FSE from now on.

I readdressed this again today , thinking I was looking for a new video card that would run PVRX2 properly and smoothly. I checked with ATI and noticed that they stopped making drivers for most video cards prior to the r300 chipset. The latest drivers for an old 9200SE was 6.11. I installed those and retried and I still wasn't happy with so I messed around with the Catalyst Control Center. There are so many adjustments that can be made for TV that I had never seen before. After 10 minutes or so I had the colours perfect and actually the playback is clearer than it was before, I also upped the res to 840X480 from the old rec'd of 720x480 and that seems to fix some overscan issues. I am only using a composite video cable due to lack of inputs on my TV so that is a bit of a limiting factor for best picture quality. ANyways , so far so good , menus are snappy and fast , playback takes a little longer to start than with GBPVR but after it starts all is good. Thanks guys
