TV Guide - Cannot move to the right

I'm having a bit of a silly problem that's probably down to something silly I haven't done or read properly yet.

If I go to the TV guide & try to select a future program (ie by pressing the right cursor) the selector box will not move. It will move backward to view old progs but I can't for example select the next available program to schedule recording etc..

Am I missing something silly?:confused:

I have the same problem. Used to be an issue with earlier released, there is a file you can download called backendcommon as a replacement dll. I would have thought that it would have been sorted in this release. Anyway I will try it tonight when when I get home and let you know if it works.

Thanks grandalf just done a quick search of the forum and can't find any reference to backendcommon - can anyone point me in the right direction?

I downloaded it earlier from this site, but cannot remember where now. Used to be under the last 9.912 survival guide. I picked it up from a link on one of these forums. If you get stuck, email me at fullhouse@mail.com and I will send it to you. Might be better if you waited until I try it myself, to see if that really is the problem.

Are you guys using the current 1.0.8 release?

What EPG source are you using?

I sorted it, not this file, wrong version causes crash. Went to setup program and in the cards section select edit and then remove epg listings. I did this on both my cards, though probably not required. Then select one of your cards and do an epg update, takes 5-10 mins. After this mine is now ok. Caused by endless duplicate entries.

Hi Sub,

I'm using the new 1.0.8 release - haven't had a chance to try grandalf's solution yet but it does sound like he's on the right track. I had an error to do with my EPG source in config after installing the new release.

I'll delete my listings and let you know if it solves the problem.

Grandalf, that sorted it!

I removed and re-added my tuner & TV guide etc, now I can move right and schedule shows. This happened on my test machine - if I see it again when I come to build my production living room machine I'll document the problem and post back here.
