v1.0.8 survival guide confusion

I am loading up to upgrade to 1.0.8 and got confused in the v1.0.8 survival guide.

Particularly in post #6 and post #7.

Why ? not because the downloads are the same name but because inside the zip files there are 2 PVRX2.exe files that do not compare. Now my first thought is to use the last posted version of any files provided in the survival guide.

Would this be correct sub ?

I only ever maintain one master build of the application, no branches etc, so later patches include the earlier patches if they modify the same file.

It's best to apply them in the order shown in the survival guide.

BTW what hapened to the survival guide for the old version ? I can understand if the decision is not to support it anymore but could it be left around for those slower to upgrade ?
