How to I enable them?

Thanks

Try setting <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>1</TVGuideChannelHeaderType> in config.xml.

I saw your earlier post about that and tried it. It didn't seem to have any effect.
I shut down the recording Service beforehand as well just in case.
What did I do wrong?

I guess the old Zap2it had the channel numbers in the channel name.
Is there an easy way to edit those numbers in?

Are you on Vista? If so, check:

C:\Users\<Insert UserName>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\config.xml

Nope using XP. Just did a global search for config.xml to see if there were any others, the one in the directory is the only one.

Thanks both of you for your help. I appreciate it.

BTW I'm using the standard skin (what is it? blue?)

Ah it works for PVRX2 but not GBPVR
I don't really keep up with the latest news. I there any reason why I shouldn't be using PVRX2?

If I read the posts and the subtext correctly, you will be better off if you use pvrx2 as that will be the only executable that is updated in the not yet defined future. Both are still operational at this time because it will take a will for some to choose the new option and for some, their hardware may need to be upgraded (video card in particular). While the existing gbpvr in 1.0.016 works great for me and is useful for plugins that have not yet been upgraded, I try to use pvrx2 as much as possible so that when it becomes the only program being updated, my family and I will be used to it.
