BTW, there is several errors in your logs that look like you've got multiple channels with the same channel numbers which is causing some problems.

You can try changing the first line to:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

I know it's technically the same thing but...

Thanks, Sub... it seems that indeed all my TV guide problems were related to this. Although I could not find anything wrong with the definitions (no duplicates, as far as I could see), updating from the EPG for each tuner card did solve the problem.
