Well, all I can say is, it worked imediatly after opening that port.

Do you have a D-Link? Some routers are locked down by default, and some aren't.

You shouldn't have to open ports between LAN connections on your internal network. Any ports should only be blocked between your LAN connections and the WAN connection on the router.

Does traffic to your MVP have to go through the WAN connection on one of your routers? If so, that would explain why you had to open a port. If not, then your router would appear to be defective. Wink

Since the mvp doesn't use port 7967 at all, my assumption is that there is an issue with routing to the default gateway and PVRX2 doesn't know how to route to the Recording Service without going to the gateway on the Internet/WAN side of your DLINK router.

Having two routers on any subnet is bound to cause headaches.
