I have wintv and can playback DVB-T TV recorded by this system using GB-PVR and MPV. I do not have a mpeg2 mux on my machine. I cannot playback recordings made by the PVR. As the TV digital channels are already encoded in mpeg2 why do I need a multiplexer ? If one is needed why does my winTV work without one ?. The MPV can evidently play the mpeg 2 files. Getting an Mpeg 2 mux seems to be a bit of problem if you haven't bought a package containing it.

Because the channels arrive as an MPEG2 transport stream yet you need to record an MPEG2 program stream. A mux filter is required to do this remuxing.

WinTV comes with a mux which it uses. It is not usable by third party apps though, it just crashes, so you need to install another mux.
