Another No Tuners Available To Watch Selected Channel Thread

Do you have different channel lineups on your two capture sources? or any manually created channels?

Wow you're quick and I don't mean just with the keyboard...Yes, funnily enough I do have different lineups.

PVR-150MCE2 is are hooked to (a) the Satellite Cable Box and (b) Two FTA Channels (first two in list)
PVR-150MCE1 is hooked to (a) the DSL Box AND (b) The same two FTA Channels (2nd two in list).

Re manually created channels, I just removed the Uburadio 1.3 plugin yesterday, trying to slim down and delete all error sources, and IIRC it used the externalrecorder, which is the equivalent of a manually configured channel, right?

What is probably happening is that when you last exited live tv it was on a channel only available on one specific device's lineup. When you click 'live tv' it automatically tries to return to last channel, but that device is now busy recording on that device, so the user gets the 'no tuners available watch the selected channel'. You would have been able to go into the tv guide and press play/watch on a channel available on the free PVR150.

Hmm, OK, that makes sense I guess, I was surprised TBH, as I had bought another card to avoid this, but speed of changes is something I need to consider given the MVP, USB-UIRT and my slow rig.

I don't use LiveTV TBH, I only ever go out of the Guide and then back into another channel also in the guide, but I guess it could happen the same way, remembering where it was, espcecially if I do that quickly, which I do.

Any way around that, other than trying to buy an additional input socket to feed all three sources into each of the same cards. Presumably a bit of patience after exiting a channel and an entering another will work too (gathering explicit instructions for family GBPVR use here...) ?

I dont really have any advice other than those previous comments. I'm pretty sure that is what would have happened.
