I upgraded about a month ago and now gbpvr crashes frequently. I had no trouble before the upgrade. I read the survival guide and installed the hotfix listed but that made no obvious difference. I have the exact same plugins that I was using on the previous version if that matters. (comskip and the one that puts more info on the guide). Along with the upgrade I am now using schedules direct for my guide info. When gbpvr crashes, windows closes the program and I have to re-open it. I can't pin-point a certain action that causes it. Sometimes it crashes when a recording starts (program keeps recording) but other times I just hit the "back" button to see the main menu from watching live TV. TIA for the help and let me know if you need more info. I've attached the log files as well.

Tim

Can you enable log flushing in the config app, then post the logs next time it happens?

Done. I have discovered that I can make it happen at will by switching back and forth between live TV and the Menu faster than normal. For the most part, without me trying it only happens a few times a day though.

I'd start diabling plug-ins to see if one of them is causing the problem.

You think? comskip only runs after a program right? That only leaves the one for the guide info. I'll try it tonight and report back.

It's possible & less intrusive than my solution to a similiar issue.

I wound up just backing up my DB then deleting the Devnz directory & re-installing everything.

Including .net.

I probably went overboard, but in the long run it was faster to just start over for me instead of trying to troubleshoot the problem.

That did cross my mind but I'll see if anything else works first.
