ERROR: Unable to find requested skin image: _TaskImages\TV Guide.png

I just completed a fresh install of XP Home and a fresh install of GB-PVR 1.0.16 but now I see errors relating to the skin in the logs. The only skin selection available is config.exe is "blue" and I have no other skins installed. Here's a excerpt from PVRX2.exe.log:

Did I miss a patch or something? v99.12 was working great before I installed a new drive.

Its normal to see these messages in the log with the blue, and its not an indication of any problem. Just ignore them.

Is there something going wrong that you're tyring to investigate?

Thanks Sub! My MVP's don't want to work since I installed 1.0.16, so I've been going through the logs looking for possible clues. It's taking a VERY long time just to get to the PVXR2 screen when using dongle.bin, and it doesn't seem to ever connect when using mvpmc.bin. It loads mvpmc, but then hangs at the "Starting Application". What's odd is that it used to count how many times it tried to connect (1/30, 2/30, etc.) but the countdown field doesn't even appear now.

Once finally connected, selecting a recording crashes the MVP back to a reboot. :eek: I think I have all of the latest patches, and everything seems to work locally on the PC, I just can't get the MVP's to behave. The WAF is quickly approaching zero.

I'll attach the logs, just in case I'm missing something.

Ugh! I just noticed that one of the (over 100!!!!) "Critical Updates" that Microsoft downloaded after the new XP install turned Windows Firewall back on. I turned it off 2 days ago, when I installed McAfee's firewall. I suppose that having both of them running was doing some strange stuff. I've checked and double-checked that McAfee wasn't blocking GBPVR or PVXR2, but didn't think to check the Windows Firewall again since I knew I had turned it off. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Thanks Sub! I knew that this sounded like a firewall issue, I was just looking at the settings for the wrong one...

WAF is going up now. She likes the new interface in PVRX2!

HarryH3 glad you got it working. I'll explain (for future seachers) the mvpmc countdown is just searhing for the Hauppauge compatible servers via UDP and then the Starting Application tries to connect to the two TCP ports that need to be allowed through the firewall.
