I have a rather low end machine for HDTV, 2.4GHz P4, 7600GS AGP, 1G Memory,PVR-150,HVR-1600(QAM). Here's what I find:
Intervideo Decoder works almost great for HD, provides nearly flawless HD even for sports programming(I say nearly in that you see a stutter every once in awhile). However, in analog TV picture is poor with lots of blurring.
Purevideo Decoder works great for analog TV but is much more jittery than the Intervideo Decoder for HDTV.
I would have thought that if the Intervideo Decoder worked great for HD it would do just fine for the less intensive task of handling analog. Are there any tweaks available for the Intervideo Decoder that can help with the analog TV? Or is this just a thing where HD and analog are completely different beasts and it just so happens that the Intervideo Decoder is better at handling HD than Purevideo?
