I am sure I have seen this posted elsewhere, but it bears repeating:

Last night I deleted a video file from the video library UI, and as it was the only file in the directory, I moved up to the top "directory..." icon and pressed delete. I realised what I had done a couple of seconds later when the MVP crashed out to "Cannot find UI" (or whatever it says) and I remembered the earlier post.

When I checked the GBPVR folder, there were only a handful of files remaining - presumably those that were in use when I pressed the self-destruct.

Good news though is that all meda files appear intact, so it's only a matter of a few hours doing a reinstall. PITA, but not a catastrophe.

Moral of the tale:
a) Don't delete the directory while you are still in it... :/

Unfortunately a couple of other people found the same problem. I've fixed it for the next release.

I think the original PVRX2.exe version 1.0.16 doesn't allow you to do that. It only happens with one or more of the patch versions.

It happened to me and when I tried to repeat it with the original 1.0.16 install it was fine. Installed a patch and suddenly I was able to delete the [..] in the video library which actually tries to delete the "Program Files\devnz" folder.

Groover, was your gbpvr.db3 one of the files that survived or did it get deleted like mine? That's the biggest problem if you don't have a recent backup. Although all your media is still there you lose the program information for the recordings in the DB.

The moral of the story... DO REGULAR BACKUPS!!

Cheers
Tony
