Cannot see Nova T 500 on capture card list

I have been using a PVR-250 for ages and today I bought a Hauppauge Nova T 500 PCI card. It has installed correctly on the computer and wintv sees it fine. But GBPVR cannot see the card. Even when I have the 'show only devices on this machine' unticked in the config utility it still isnt in the list of devices. (I would have thought this showed all devices?)

Any ideas? I have installed the latest version of GBPVR aswell and no luck.

p.s. I have looked around on the forum and a few other people mainly a while ago seem to have had the problem but no solutions I could find. Any help appreciated.

When you create your capture source, you need to select the 'BDA Recording Plugin' instead of the 'Direct Recording Plugin' you used with your PVR250.

I have a Nova T 500 also, no problems with finding it, just check the checkbox "Show only devices present in system" or whetever Sub called it in the BDA setting dialog (why is it not checked by default!?). Have you installed the Hauppauge drivers?

Also note that the drivers that where on the CD with the card is likely rather old. Try getting the latest from Hauppauges site.

I use the Nova-T 500 and a Nova-T 90002 in my system. Drivers are the latest from Hauppauge. Everything works fine and stable, is no problem to record 3 shows at the same time.

When I switch to BDA and check the "show only...", all drivers are shown. Not to forget that the T 500 has 2 tuners and each is unique (both with device name #1).

So, try the latest drivers, they should work fine.
