Confusing problem with tv guide and xmltv

I'm using GBPVR 1.0.16 with XMLTV 0.5.49

I'm having a strange problem with my TV guide in GBPVR.exe using XMLTV.

The guide is an hour behind, which I figured meant I put in the wrong time zone when I configured XMLTV.

The strange thing is, all my scheduled recordings are okay.

How can GBPVR record the correct show if the guide is an hour behind?

I'm afraid to change the time zone, until I'm sure I'm not going to mess up my scheduled recordings.

It does sound like you've got the incorrect timezone info in your xmltv files.

Remember to hit the 'empty epg' button when you correct your timezone, otherwise you'll continue to have these incorrect show times listed.

I guess XMLTV was guessing the wrong time. It kept guessing -0400 for my time zone even though I had -0500 input.

I fixed this by adding a line to my BAT file: SET TZ=-0500, it seems to have worked.

I just hope it doesn't mess up my scheduled recordings.

I'll post again tomorrow with the results.
