No LiveTv video - MPEG2 Decoding problem?

Hello. I'm new to the PVR world and am trying to set up GBPVR to work with my Hauppauge HVR-1600.

I'm not sure if it's a problem with GBPVR, or my drivers, or even the card itself. but here's the problem.

I cannot get picture when watching live tv, using either GBPVR or WinTV (even less success with wintv, i can't even get channels to scan there...GB is using the EPG)

I get audio just fine on all channels, but a black screen. I looked through the wiki and went through the installation again and again. I tried all the different MPEG2 Decoders I had available (7 + System default) All with the same result.

I WAS however able to get video and audio from the composite video input. But i cannot get it to work with the Cable TV.

Any help or even ideas for what direction I should go in would be appreciated

I'd try reinstalling the Hauppauge WinTV app, then trying to get it working before moving on to GB-PVR.
