Cyberlink Mux won't record certain channels properly

ok then so to watch/record both V and H on 2 tuner cards at the same time
i would need 2 lnbs and 2 cables
or is there a switch thing that can combine the 2 signals into one cable then just split them at the other end or am i talking complete bollocks again

I dont know. Its not really the same as what I've been doing,

You can probably use a dual output LNB, but that'd be two cables. Maybe a diseqc switch is all that would be required for combining them. I'm far from an expert in these complex satellite setups.

i'll upload a clip as well as logs of what I get when I get home, i'd be fascinated to know what the issue is if you can work it out.

Definitely worth trying the ATI mux.

well that ATI Mux seems to do the trick, VideoReDo reports no errors recording DW Journal from Stratos.
