...and now the recording service will not start!
Dialog on screen:
"Detection of product '{6E227784-B49B-4B07-B3C1-FA2A13AFEC85}', feature 'Complete', component '{004ABA03-3029-496A-A3BF-C511B28D80B3}' failed. The resource 'C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos\MTV.jpg' does not exist.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

If I put a pic called MTV.jpg in the logo folder, it stops at the next one...
Apart from reinstalling any quick fix for this?

I wasnt aware I'd included any channel logos with the release, but I might of accidentally. If I have, you'll most likely have to leave them there until the next release when the install should clean it up.

Thanks - I let windows reinstall the missing logos and all is fine now. I was just suprised that the recording service would not start as the logos were missing - would not have thought they would make any difference to it!

The recording service itself has no need for the icons or dependency on them, but the Windows MSI installer inserts shims in front of applications that will check the application is undamaged before it'll attempt to start said app. For example, when you click the Config app shortcut (created by the MSI installer at installation time) it actually runs some other utility first that checks that it is complete - if its ok, then it'll run the app, if not then it'll give you an error like you're seeing.
