I couldn't reproduce Scenario A
I did recreate Scenario C though.

I've attached the logs.

Maybe I can provide some more detail on this issue. I have 2 tuners.

Previously set to record:
Saturday Nov 1
10:30pm - 11:30pm MADtv (Record Season-all episodes, added via "Search Guide")
10:35pm - 12:08am Saturday Night Live (Record Season-all episodes, added via "Search Guide")

Added at 10:48am Saturday Nov 1:
10:35pm - 11:35 Lost ("record once", added via "Search Guide")

Search Guide doesn't notify of conflict, episode doesn't turn red in list. Not listed in "Conflicts" nor "Pending" of screen "Recordings"; not red in "TV Guide". It seems that the request is simply ignored. This problem doesn't happen sometimes, it is consistent for me.

When adding the conflicting recording via the TV Guide, I am properly notified of the conflict (given the choice to cancel one of the three).

Sub,
A bit of help for you here (maybe, dunno if it is the same problem)... Over Xmas I noticed that PVRX2 was not notifying me of recording conflicts, and then on researching the issue, I read this thread. After playing around (I was going to try to recreate the issue, as I was seeing it as well), I managed to set 3 recordings up, but on the 4th it then notifies me of a conflict. I have only 2 tuners... so 3 recordings should not be possible. I enclose pics and PVRX2.log & config.xml in the enclosed zip.
Something which may be (probably is) the cause of this is that I once had one of my tuners duplicated (as I only had one of the 2 tuner cards connected to an aerial), so that it would always use the working tuner when recording or watching live tv (the top down/bottom up usage pattern). I deleted the duplicated tuner when I got an aerial splitter, but I think that GBPVR still thinks that I have 3 tuners... could this be the cause of tm12's problem also perhaps? (Try setting up 4 or 5 recordings and see what happens????). SUB - How would I get the GBPVR recording service back into thinking I have only 2 tuners please?
Many thanks as always Sub, hope you had a good Christmas Smile
Cheers, Aidan

If your tuners are digital and you have multirecord set as true (default I think) and .ts recordings (also default for a new install) then it is quite possible to record multiple channels on one tuner if they are on the same mux, as BBC1 and BBC2 is I think. One of the features of the current release of software. Big Grin

Try recording bbc1,2 and 3 and ITV 1,2 ch4 at the same time.

Yep, what he said... if multi-record is enabled, and you're using TS Mux, then it can record these three channels.
