There is something in the GBPVR tray causing a lockup. I have had a glitch for over half a year (including the newest release), but lived with it. My glitch wouldn't let windows XP shut down in a timely manner. It was as if windows XP was not able to close a program. It turns out, the program it couldn't shut down was the recording service. It wasn't the recording service that was causing the problem though. When I removed the GBPVR tray from operation, it had no problem at all. I wouldn't have noticed this problem if I hadn't made some changes to my system, ie added a high def tv which wasn't properly supported in my video card until I upgraded the driver. I could run recorded shows and even high def 720 video without a hesitation, but when I exited the GBPVR program, the explorer service went to 100%. When GBPVR wasn't even running, I couldn't stop the recording service to see if that was a problem. After I removed the GBPVR tray from the start menu and restarted the computer, I had no more problems and could easily play files with GBPVR, exit the program and then easily stop the recording service. I could even shut down the computer in a timely manner, which I hadn't been able to do in a long time.

I don't know what the exact problem in GBPVR tray or something conflicting with it was, but it works now. I thought I'd share my experience. It may help someone else.

Just a note. I have another computer that has the GBPVR tray running, that doesn't have a problem at all.

I don't have the problem anymore. I just built a new machine and did a complete reinstall, so I can't reproduce that problem.
