Hi all,
I just setup gbpvr yesterday and so far it has worked great. I have been having problems setting it up to use anything but stereo sound for DVDs. I have powerdvd installed and configured as 6 speaker. I have changed the audio decoder to Cyberlink(PDVD7) in gbpvr. I then try changing the audio decoder options to 6 speaker in gbpvr, but it immediately changes it back to 2 speaker before I have the chance to hit apply. I have also tried changing the audio decoder to system default, but when I play a dvd it is still in stereo sound (although all 6 speakers are working with both decoders, the front and back speakers are just playing the same tracks).
I also have another weird problem. Whenever I try using the THX audio test in a Star Wars dvd, it freezes. However, powerdvd has no problem with this and plays the movie in surround sound just fine.
