For quite a while I had GBPVR humming along nicely on one of my older systems. One of the kids systems fried and I made the mistake of allowing them to temporarily use my PVR. BIG MISTAKERolleyes

So now I Have uninstalled, reinstalled about a hundred times to different locations on the system ans always get the following error

"The application failed to initialize properly (Ox0000005) Click ok to terminate the application"

I get this when I try to launch GBPVR.exe, Config.exe, GBPVRTRAY.exe

The Tuning assistant works, I get picture and can scan the channels without issue.

I installed the newer version and did a windows update (running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2) to update my .Net framework. Nothing helps. Please let me know if you have any advice. I've attached the logs in case it helps.

Thanks Jay

Are you positive that both .net 2.0 and vcredist_x86 are installed?

Do any log files get updated when you try to run these apps? If so, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Thanks but I decided it was stupid to waste all this time tryig to troubleshoot it. I decided it made more sence to wipe my boot drive and start over since there were other things that were not exactly as it should. I am in the middle of rebuilding so hopefully it will come right up. Lesson learnt though, kids can play on someone else system :p
